Big treatment update.
Been a bit since I last discussed my cancer situation, but I have some very good news! According to my last visit, I'm officially in remission! For the time being, it's just going to be quarterly checkups to see if anything changes. Honestly, this is a big relief to me. No more treatment scheduling and it really feels like I'm making headway on this whole thing. Not sure what else is going to happen with it after this besides more bloodwork and checkups, but we'll worry about that when it comes.
Birthday and general updates.
It's my birthday again! This year marks me turning 38. I don't have anything special planned, but I might get a picture or two uploaded for you folks later. In medical news, I'm finished with the second round of treatments. I'll be having some tests done later this month to see what happens next, if anything. Best case scenario is that I'll only have to have regular check-ups for a few years just to be safe. Lastly, I'll be reopening art trades tomorrow. I have a few people I'd like to see if I can't work with on some ideas.
Happy Thanksgiving and Health Update
First off, I'd like to wish a happy Thanksgiving to all my American watchers who celebrate the holiday. Even if you don't, I hope you take today to enjoy some time with your loved ones in some capacity. Second, I want to give an update as to my current health situation. Last week, I had a proper physical with my doctor and they gave me the go-ahead, so I'll be starting the second half of my leukemia treatments next week. It's expected to last four weeks, then followed by another round of scans to see if they got all of it. For the most part, I'm better mentally prepared for this half than the first half, if for no reason than I've had time to get used to the whole thing. I'm not anticipating this will hinder me or my current plans for December, but if anything changes, I'll let you all know.
Thoughts and Plans
I've got no one thing to talk about lately, so I'm just going to write about a few different things. I'm going to take December to focus back on my OCs. I'd like to work on some writing for them, as well as a few drawing ideas and maybe a wallpaper. Specifically, I want to finish a pair of stories to help get Rivera's role set up. With the announcement of Another Code: Recollections, I've had more inspiration to draw Ashley than before. I even feel like doing an idea or two I had forgotten before hand. For those curious about the costs of my cancer treatment, I've already have to pay a few thousand for various services, but thankfully insurance covered all the big stuff so far. Said "big stuff" was the actual treatment and medicine cost, which was over $20,000 USD. On a related note, I now get why socialized medicine is so popular an idea. Despite not having worked in three months, I've had very little difficulty doing my job again. That was kind of necessary, as I ended up getting
